Vixen Evergreen Birch Trees – 57% cotton, 23% linen, 20% merino

The Evergreen warp has a graduated blend of 3 lush greens, from a glaucous lighter shade with blue undertones, through a rich leafy green to a dark conifer forest colour.
The Vixen weft is possibly the hardest to imagine in its full splendour before it is woven. It has 3 different yarns woven 1:1:1 to create a unified overall effect. The thickest of these is the merino lambswool- a marled shade that combines flecks of brown, orange and red with a mustard base for a rich autumnal look. The warmth of this yarn is accentuated by the copper Italian supersoft linen, and the whole effect is lifted by a hint of peachy pink Irish ross linen. Overall it will create a subtly textured and vibrant earthy palette which will work beautifully against this warp. In terms of previous wefts, Grizedale shows how that splash of salmon pink works with the earthy shades, but Vixen won’t be as orange-based as the Grizedale. The merino wool is closer in shade to the
